Tell us a little bit about yourself, and what led you to the Sergio Rossi business.
Riccardo Sciutto, Sergio Rossi Group CEO: I’m an Italian businessman with the mind and soul of an entrepreneur. I got my start in the family business before going to university and learned a lot from my father, mother and grandmother. Once I finished my studies, I decided to build my own path, and have spent the last 20 years working in an industry I love and respect, exploring apparel, jewelry and, of course, shoes. I have developed an intuition for what can or cannot work for different markets and a growing curiosity for the desires of the consumer.
What makes Sergio Rossi different?
Sergio Rossi is a symbol of femininity, harmony, elegance and what it means to be made in Italy. We create shoes for the woman who is dynamic, smart, and sophisticated, without taking herself too seriously.
We also have an outstanding heritage and our San Mauro Pascoli factory guarantees the highest quality. Over 120 dedicated artisans create each shoe by hand, and it takes a minimum of 110 steps to create the finished product. This labor of love is what Sergio Rossi is all about and that we are proud of: fantastic heritage, expert manufacturing and timeless beauty.
How does Swarovski complement the Sergio Rossi DNA?
For this collaboration, we started with our most iconic shapes, the SR1 and Sergio, creating unique versions of our most beloved shoes. The exclusive capsule perfectly represents the glamorous and feminine side of the Sergio Rossi woman, adding a unique spark to every step. I am happy to have partnered with a brand like Swarovski that perfectly highlights and shares our artisanal know how and impeccable quality.
