Designer Sandrine Melot has created discreetly crystalline interiors for the stunning new super-luxe yacht, Philmi.
A favorite with leading architects and interior designers for their unique power to transform a room using radiance, Swarovski’s interior and lighting solutions have become integral to luxury yacht crystal projects. Since 1995, French-born Sandrine Melot — a partner in the architectural/design company MELOT+TRILLO — has built up a formidable reputation for interior design excellence. But it was only in 2006 that she accepted her first yacht project, which went on to win the World Superyacht Award in the Semi-Custom Motor Yacht Open Sport Cruiser division.
Commissioned to create a bespoke interior for the new Italian-built, 43-meter motoryacht called Philmi, it is the second project undertaken by MELOT+TRILLO for the same owner, and it perfectly reflects his discerning taste and exacting requirements. Sandrine Melot has used Swarovski’s Surface Collection to bring a light-reflective, luminescent glow to interior spaces. Developed in partnership with renowned naval architect Martin Francis, the Swarovski Surface Collection is a radically different range of treatments that has pushed the boundaries of crystal application.
Together with Swarovski’s design partners, we combine our understanding of the power of crystal and light with expertise in the specific needs of the industry – know-how developed over decades spent working on multiple high-end yachting projects.
From planning and purchasing to project management and creation, a dedicated team of industry experts offers 360° support to clients throughout, ensuring flawless start-to-finish implementation.
Sandrine Melot is a French interior designer and co-founder, with Anna Trillo, of the MELOT+TRILLO, the architecture-interiors firm.
