Shimmer Effect is the next evolutionary step in the famous AB crystal surface finish. With a subtle coating that throws off a rainbow of multicolored refractions, it is a true credit to the original. Available in 15 different color and effect combinations (as well as Crystal), each Aurora Borealis crystal shimmers with three shades of a single color that cast wave-like ripples of softly changing light reflections, accentuating every movement of the body. Available in XILION and XIRIUS roses (article numbers 2078, 2088, 2038 and 2058) in Flat Backs No Hotfix and Flat Backs Hotfix, split color tools are provided, with half the AB crystals featuring both color and shimmer, and half featuring color only.

The tools come applied to a plastic foil, which gives a good idea of what Shimmer Effect looks like on fabric. With top-notch quality and durability, these Aurora Borealis crystals are easy to apply using common application techniques, and demonstrates excellent resistance to chemical, environmental and mechanical influences; examples include UV, perspiration, and perfume, as well as resistance to abrasion and plating.

Wash-care instructions for AB Swarovski crystals are straightforward: First turn the garment inside out (even better, put it into a soft wash bag) and use a mild laundry detergent on a gentle cycle, making sure that Shimmer Effect doesn’t come into contact with chlorine bleach. Drying should be at a lower temperature. If preferred, professional wet cleaning, or professional dry-cleaning using perchlorethylene or hydrocarbon, are possible options, first making sure the garment is turned inside out.
